Lake Las Vegas has forged an unprecedented, on-going partnership with Outside Las Vegas Foundation and five federal land management agencies to support stewardship of public land surrounding the resort and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
The resort will contribute monies to the foundation on behalf of guests at each of its hotels, with additional program funding provided through the Lake Las Vegas Builder Co-Op. Each hotel guest may also make a voluntary contribution. Lake Las Vegas Resort guests and new residents will receive complimentary passes to explore the public land that serve as the unique backdrop of the resort.
The Southern Nevada Parks Foundation will have a significant impact on preserving the natural beauty of the resort’s surroundings. Money raised through this foundation will fund improved trails, environmental education programs, youth outdoor education programs, and litter cleanups on these public lands. This trailblazing partnership will improve access to public lands and, at the same time; help protect sensitive natural and archaeological sites that are an important, irreplaceable part of the Desert Southwest’s natural and cultural heritage.
